The mouse table is attached to the leg that is lower than the laptop table. This seems like the perfect spot for him until you sit in a chair and the mouse table is stretched under the chair's armrests. It would be nice if there were more holes for attaching the mouse table so that it could stand at different heights. The buttons were a little difficult to press to adjust the legs, but a little time made it easier to set up and balance. Desk bar clamps are ridiculous and a bit useless. They fall off regularly and I'm not sure what use they provide once in place. Overall I'm happy with what I got and the price I paid for it. If I had to do it again I would probably consider spending a little more money on a better table but this one costs well and is very convenient to use.
