Review on 🌬️ Noctua NH D15 Chromax Black: Ultimate Dual Tower Cooler for Superior Cooling Performance by Chris Castro

Absolutely Amazing in Fans & Cooling

I have the LTT version with two stickers, sixteen orange anti-vibration pads (Noctua d15 fans only), a square metal plaque that says LTT and a card signed by Linus. I agree with those who say the installation was difficult. I didn't have to remove the motherboard due to the design of my case, but it was still difficult to do with two hands and required a reasonable amount of effort to install. This thing is huge, almost half the size of my mATX motherboard. The d15 front fan didn't fit because of the 24-pin connector, but I wasn't expecting that. I replaced my 212 evo with this one and did a stress test. My build is currently a 1080ti with a Raijitek Morpheus II core heatsink and Ryzen 1700 at 4.0GHz, 1.4V (99th percentile, I got very lucky in the silicon lottery). With 212 evo my temps were: 75CGPU Idle: 22C (ambient) GPU load: 62C After installing d15 my temps are now: CPU idle: 32CPU load: 66CGPU idle: 22CGPU load: 56CI Expecting my CPU running colder, I'm happy with the 9C difference. I'm shocked that my GPU temp has dropped as well, I certainly wasn't expecting a 6 degree difference! It seems to do a great job of dissipating the heat inside the case. I only got a 5 in Cinebench, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY quieter than the 212 evo. Overall I would recommend this to anyone with a decent sized case who doesn't want to deal with water cooling and anyone who wants their build to be as quiet as possible. It was the last nail in the coffin that made the middle finger go cold.
