NOT simple plug and play.

I knew the frame of the new radio would be modified to fit properly. That's the only reason I'm saying this radio isn't truly plug and play - which means it can be easily swapped out as a direct replacement. This does not apply to this radio, but the wiring harnesses could be easily connected to my factory plugs. Any confusion over which camera connector to use was resolved by simply checking which connector was connected to the factory wiring harness and then following the video from there. The picture, sound parameters and functionality of this stereo are excellent from what I have been able to use so far. After installing the radio, I encountered a problem: My aftermarket amp would not turn on, even though the remote control wire was connected to the wire marked "AMP" on the radio. Checking the wire with a multimeter showed no voltage when the radio was on. The "KEY 1 and KEY 2" wires only showed 3.5 VDC when the radio was on - not enough voltage to turn on the amp. I checked the blue wire that goes into the antenna harness - it showed 11.6 VDC when the radio was on and 0 when the radio was off. So I stripped some insulation from the blue antenna wire and connected my amp's remote control wire to it. After that, my amp turned on successfully. In terms of sound quality - the volume and EQ settings really boost the performance of my Fosgate Prime amp and P1 subwoofer - I'm still experimenting with different settings to get the sound I like. Overall I'm happy with the end result and the performance so far. It makes my car look futuristic and my friends and family look in awe at my new dashboard. **UPDATE 08/23/21: After looking at the sticker on the radio case, I found a wire labeled "REMOTE" on the wiring harness going to the factory main wiring harness. There was no wire on the other side. Remove the wire from the side of the radio harness and reconnect to the removed wire and my amp cycles on and off with power to the radio.
