The tool works well. But it cantilevers over the grinding wheel with this mechanism of guides, guides, pins and posts that can bend and flex. In the end, the sharpening only removes a few thousand from the blade. It becomes an art to estimate the (tiny) amount of force needed to press it against the grinding wheel in order for the finished blade to be perfectly straight and flat. Is the blade held by the grinding wheel and needs further sharpening? Or is it held by the mechanics and is completely lapped in? Practice creates masters. The displacement of the long blades in the tool is surprisingly smooth, producing an excellent cutting edge. I have a grizzly grinder. The support rod does not fit. So I just enlarged the hole for one of the rack mounts and moved it. That works great.
