I have EE front feet but size D heels and prefer zero drop so I have to compromise. I have run in: VFF, VivoBarefoot Neo Trails, New Balance Minimus Trail and MR00 and Merrell Vapor Gloves. Whenever possible, I walk barefoot along the shore near the waterline. The MR00 was my favorite road shoe until it was discontinued. These are my favorite trail running shoes at the moment. As others have said, the outsole is a bit stiff for a "minimalist" shoe, but they are slip-resistant and the stiffness has the benefit of protecting on rocky trails. I had bruises on my feet so I appreciate the sole. I hardly notice any stiffness when running. The sock is small for me but causes no discomfort. This is probably normal for someone with a normal forefoot width. My little fingers tighten the most, but the rest is fine. With the 11.5mm stack, the heel seems narrow enough to be unstable, but then again I don't notice it when running. The tread wears out quickly if I don't stay on the pavement. I want them to do a street profile version.
