My new car didn't have a front plate holder, just two holes in my bumper. I didn't want the license plate to eat up my paint so I put this around it first and it holds it securely and quietly in place. Most of the accessories that came with it didn't work for my application without making bigger holes which I didn't want to do but I didn't buy it for those anyway.
