Review on Watch CASIO G-Shock GG-B100-1A9 by Micha Gozdalik ᠌

The average product, you can find a better one.

In general, the model is very lopsided. Nice looking, comfortable to wear, uncomfortable to use. Sometimes it's very inconvenient, see disadvantages. The mobile application is so-so, it also feels like it is eating a battery. The main remark, perhaps, is that you can customize a lot, except for what you want, and the division seems arbitrary. I'm not in a hurry to get rid of it, but I don't recommend it.

Pros
  • Good bright design, which does not smell like a "classic" g-shock per kilometer (not a special fan of them), nominally rich functionality, quite comfortable despite the huge size (who does not have a very big hand, but likes a big watch - the most it). A pedometer, compass, thermometer, stopwatch, sunrise-sunset time are excellent hours for walking through forest swamps in the company of a dog and a camera. Mudmaster, in short, the name justifies.
Cons
  • The overall slowness of the controls is very annoying. There are 6 buttons here, but a lot of functions hang on a long, or very long, or very, very long press of a button, while "long" = 2 whole seconds, you get tired of holding it. Also, information screens with the name of the mode are displayed for a long time. It is inconvenient to quickly switch and look. The backlighting is pretty stupid and uncomfortable - one super-bright LED that shines mostly outward. All that is needed, of course, is also highlighted in the light reflected from the glass, but somehow it still looks strange. And the most annoying thing is that pressing the function buttons while the backlight is on immediately turns it off, you have to press it again. So it was not possible to make the "remember point" function work - the connection with the application establishes, something thinks, but in the end Failed. And it would be convenient. There are no cardinal directions, instead of them, markings at ± 60 ° from north for some reason - does not help to use the compass. There is no date format setting, only illogical American SA 32022.
