The best thing about cost guard is that I don't have to enter all of my information manually anymore so it makes things much easier for me in some cases! It takes longer than most programs but this allows users input their data themselves rather then having someone else do the entering. Some options were not available before which are now being offered. One example would be that customers can no long order take away meals instead they only get prepackaged items like sandwiches etc.. This has caused us problems when trying to calculate our labor because its very different in those departments compared with what we've been doing up until recently. However as stated above these services aren’t always readily known or even needed for each individual customer therefore calculating overtime hours isn't required at least currently anyways. Having an easy way to track inventory levels throughout the day was also another benefit realized upon adopting this solution. The user interface is very easy to navigate and utilize. I have been able to use Cost Guard for several years now to keep track of my kitchen's costs. It has also allowed me to better document my inventory and purchasing process as well. I don't really like that you have to be logged in to do any work from the main menu. This makes it harder to access when someone else is at the computer. We are using the program for tracking our purchase costs and general inventory.
