I bought three sets because I read that some browsers have problems with some switches, but the first one I installed worked fine. Bye. I use it to turn off my backyard ring light when I'm home during the day. I share the ring camera with other family members and the notifications can be a bit annoying, especially when I'm gardening. It also allows for some privacy. I could have installed a manual on/off switch, but chose this WIFI switch because I can turn it back on anytime, anywhere, and I didn't want to run wires for the manual switch. As you can see from the photos I just ran a short wire down the line and placed the switch in the switch box. The switch was too long to mount in the box and it had to change its cover which would void the warranty but I thought it worked and for the price it was worth the risk. It works really well and for the price you can't go wrong. I'm taking off a star because it took some effort to connect to my router. 10/13/2019: Wanted to update this review as I was having trouble registering two other remotes. No matter how close or far I got to the router, I couldn't register it until I decided to use another old Wi-Fi-only cell phone. Not sure if it's because it's an old phone, but I think it has to do with the cellular network. So if you're having trouble registering one of these remotes, I suggest turning off cellular on your phone.
