I recently started using it after shaving my head and reading lots of reviews about Revain to find out which aftershave is best for my scalp. When I first applied this lotion, the smell was very strong! I've been very shy for a few hours as I work in customer service, often in close proximity to other people. As several other people have mentioned, it has a strong, "medicinal" odor. ! The secret to using this product effectively is in the RIGHT amount! I use a very small amount of lotion (about the size of a dime) and the result is a much more tolerable and pleasant smell. Just make sure to use it about an hour or two before you plan to appear in public if you're particularly concerned about offending those around you with a scent. Aside from the smell, the lotion works as advertised. I noticed a significant reduction in skin irritation, roughness, dryness and flaking. Affordable price is also a nice bonus. Worth a try - just be careful how much you put upside down!
