This is an excellent mite control product that I've been using for several years and it performs better than anything . Still I tried. I have two dogs that have 24/7 access to the woods around my house and they often come home with ticks. But nothing else! We almost never see ticks implanted in them (sometimes they crawl through their fur when they come straight out of the woods but easy to spot and remove at this point) and I never see swollen blood mites in my home.My dogs sometimes play rough at home and I found a collar came off , after playing like this, but otherwise they last 3 months and work efficiently all the time, don't wait for them to stop working, order more when the time comes! Note that the 18" collar easily fits around the necks of both of my medium sized dogs, but sometimes a 25" collar is cheaper for some reason. Just cut it to your dog's size and discard the rest. Same concentration of chemicals in both.:
