These tick collars seem to work pretty well, but they're definitely not a panacea just for minimizing tick numbers on your dog. This is an excellent mite control product that I've been using for several years and it performs better than anything . Still I tried. ATTENTION! After 4 days this collar seems to have started killing the ticks on my Bloodhound puppy. BUT this morning I had to take my cat to the vet for emergency care for collar poisoning. The cat didn't touch the collar, but yesterday she slept on the same couch with the puppy. This morning the cat was in pretty bad shape.
