The case is very thin and light but has a quality look. It is black but has a silver interior which I believe is part of the impregnation. It's big enough for my full-size road bike, but also fits a kid's bike well. It has an adjustable strap at the back and eyelets at the front where you can use a cable lock. I think I can use this on the roof rack. We stay in Florida even in the winter and leave the kids bikes outside and the sun on the bike is terrible - it will be very good to protect from the sun and bad weather.
