Review on 🚿 Hudson Brass Works WO L-Shape Shower Curtain Rod, Chrome Finish, 61.5 x 25.75 x 24 inches by Sarah Watson

Wrong size, hard to change.

Just wanted to know I have installed several bathrooms but this is the first time I have required a corner curtain rod. I could have given it 3 or 4 stars if it wasn't for all the 5 star reviews. I don't want to put you off buying it, but you should know what you're getting. What's wrong with that: 1. Price2. price3. Price What's wrong with it: 1. Size2. Size 3. Size Look at the picture and see how well it fits a very standard American new bathroom (it still has the sticker on). But that's after I adjusted it by cutting three inches off the long end and adding it to the short end. When other people add flared shower curtain rods to give them more space, this one gets extra narrow. I had to lose 5 cm. I used the flared end of a narrow 1/2" PVC pipe, split so it could fit the pole. both ends, no further adjustment. Let's count. The average ceiling is 96 inches high (mine is even lower ). The average shower curtain is 72" tall. Add 2" of hooks and another 2" to raise it off the bathtub floor (it's higher than the surrounding floor) and this will place the shower curtain rod 76" tall. Okay, snip a few strands and it might work. but just below the ceiling and you'll have to do the same thing I did. I drilled a thread onto the backup ring hoping to hold the backup ring in place with a set screw. But it broke out. So I had to drill a hole in it to get the pin through the support rod and support ring. And then there are the screws that enclose them. They suggest you use the included plastic wall anchors with 3/4" screw screw use stainless steel screws. Since most drywall has 3.5" of air on the other side, why not provide 1.5" screws. As you can see, not all sizes are suitable for this. But if you have a ceiling of the right height, such as narrow shower stalls, and you don't mind holding that up with the included screws, then this device will work just fine.
