Ordered black front with gray midsection and gray rear heel areas Pro: Nice wide toe box, proper binding on laces doesn't slip, laces go through eyelets and not only through perforated holes to make them last longer and easier to tighten without tearing. The color combination of black and gray looks very nice. Not too exposed outer breathable mesh so it might (hopefully) be good in light rain. The outsole feels soft. Size 10 is true to size. Cons: The entire top of the upper feels very stiff. The tongue of the shoe sounds (and feels) like crackling plastic. Contrary to the advertised description, the insole has no cushioning. Feels like it's just hard cardboard and sounds the same when I tap it with my fingertips. The outsoles feel comfortable and the inner heel area is not bad as a result. I put in a base unit to help with cushioning which causes the back of my heels to slide up and down a bit. After that the overall stiffness of the shoe doesn't seem that bad and I think it really supports my feet. I kept the shoes. I don't expect them to last for years as I don't think the quality is there but for now I'm fine with keeping them. Let's hope the overall external stiffness eases as it wears out.
