Review on πŸ”Œ Treatlife Smart Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmer Light Switch 2PACK: Wi-Fi Enabled, Works with Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings - Remote Control, Neutral Wire Required by Darius Slater

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The switch and the application that controls it exceeded all expectations.

This is a review of TREATLIFE Smart Ceiling Fan Control and Dimmer Light Switch, Neutral Wire Required, Single Pole Wi-Fi Light Switch, Fan Speed Control, Work with Alexa/Google Assistant, Schedule, Remote Control I bought 3 of the same switches, one and 2 packs, and installed 1. For some unknown reason, the link to the single switch was gone from Revain at the time of this review, so I am posting this review for 2 items per pack. I am using this switch to control a Hunter Dempsey 44 LED low profile dimmable ceiling fan. The original radio controls on this Hunter fan do not turn on the light (unfortunately as intended) when you enter a dark room and press the wall switch. In this context, I immediately started looking for a wall switch that would allow me to control the light and fan completely using a wall switch or a smartphone and iPad. Pros: β€’ With a wall switch or app, you can quickly reach maximum brightness and minimum brightness, unlike other dimmers that change brightness and dim by pressing and holding the button, so you have to guess whether you're on maximum brightness or are the least dimmed. For me that was a huge advantage. The wall switch has 14 brightness levels, and in the app the brightness levels are clearly endless. β€’ The fan controller has 4 speeds that can be controlled by a wall switch or an app. The Hunter controller I dropped had three speeds and only works if you can find the controller. (You will need to remove the old fan receiver control from the fan. This TREATLIFE switch does all the work of a wall switch and does NOT have the unit inside the fan. You will need to have two separate wires running from your junction box to the light/fan on the ceiling box to power it to connect.) β€’ I found the basic operation of the APP VERY easy to install and use. I didn't use some of the more exotic controls in the app, such as B. Scheduling and Alexa, and may review the app separately when I have more time with it. β€’ I currently use a Google Pixel phone and an Apple iPad, and my wife uses an Apple iPhone. The appearance of the application is very similar to that of Android and Apple OS. β€’ You can control the light or check its status anywhere in the world where you have a phone or WIFI. β€’ There are small indicators on the switch to help you see where the brightness level and fan speed are β€’ The 2 pack switches came with regular Prime expedited shipping. . They're very boring and unremarkable, but for some this will be a minus, but they can be pasted over β€’ My first Switch had a wild ride, crossing half the states of the Union and driving through my hometown at least 3 times before arriving to my house.
