I was really hesitant to order this product because red doesn't suit me but I saw some reviews from people who did said it wasn't a bright red so I gave it a try. True to its description, it definitely looks red, but there's a pure quality to it too, so it really isn't too daring. I think this is the most pigmented Treat toning balm I have, but it's not the clown red I was afraid of. My husband said it was perfect for me! Candy Apple has no shimmer and is a lot more cinnamon than apple. I would suggest always applying it in front of a mirror as these balms are broad and unlike clear balms they are not meant to smear along the lip line.
