I like that you can use disco with any programming language or database (MySQL/Postgres). It's easy enough to get up an running without having too much knowledge about how things work under the hood. There are some features which could be improved such as being able to run multiple instances at once instead of just one per machine. Also if your application needs more than 1GB RAM then there will likely not be space left over after installation. We're using this tool internally within our team so we have been working together closely developing applications that make sense from both perspectives - developers' perspective and users'. This has helped us develop new products faster while also providing better user experience by making sure everything works well across all devices. The main benefit i've realized since starting out was speed improvements when testing code locally vs production environments.
