Noise level is good, almost none. Battery operation requires 4 AA batteries, lasts 8 hours with a new set, otherwise a mains connection is required. Better with batteries than mains power. Portability is decent, it's big, the downside is the need for a network connection if you use it a lot. I bought 2 of these and both have died. Should have gotten a replacement but still got nothing even after a 30 minute phone call. If you're trying to clean the inside, one screw has a Phillips head and the other has a torque screw, which isn't the best of conveniences.
