Review on OLOy Warhawk 288 Pin Desktop MD4U0836180BE0DA by John Hill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Cheap kit at a great price

Pros: Very light and low profile for easy installation. It has a built in thermal sensor, which is a good thing as this is typically found in more expensive Samsung or Micron B-Matrix kits. It's RGB and the diffuser is glossy/chrome plastic, meaning it looks great in a chrome/black case. Cons: 1. Thaiphoon reports that it's an unknown Mikron death with horrific timings (honestly, the key timings have been revealed, but everything else about it is sketchy and of poor quality). The kit feels extremely cheap, very light, these radiators do not inspire confidence that they can cool well. So I wasn't surprised to see 55-60C during boot (mostly gaming).3. So far it has crashed once on XMP (I've only had this kit for a few days). I've had B-die kits before (lower capacity) so I know this isn't my z490i + 10700k setup. I may need to increase the voltage above 1.35 to get 100% stability at xmp. In general, my review relates to the Oloy Blade RGB kit. Revain shuffles all the reviews together so I wanted to point out the item I'm reviewing. I'm anything but impressed. This is a cheap and poorly performing kit disguised as a premium kit. None of these disadvantages can be seen in the picture. At around $100 it would be ok, but at its current price I don't think you get your money's worth. I will return mine.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Safety
