My first Lightload towel was a beach towel. It worked so well as a carry-on towel in port during the cruise (much lighter and more compact than cruise ship towels) that I bought another beach towel and these towels are smaller. It is great! They easily fit in your everyday bag and are practical. You can sit on them when seating conditions are lacking, wet them and wipe your face when it's hot, wrap them around a delicate souvenir, or brush off a sticky baby after a melting ice cream cone. The great thing is that they can be used over and over again. They do not gather back into a small plate, but remain very compact after drying. I have washed mine several times since buying them and they are still in good condition. They're not as durable as cotton towels, but they're worth it for comfort. I always travel with several and even carry a small one in my purse. This is a great product!
