I'm upgrading from an old 17.3 inch LCD laptop to this one. The LED has a very clear image and the 24-inch screen feels huge compared to the 17.3-inch screen. I have two 20" Acer LCDs at work and this LED seems much better/clearer in comparison. For what my family and I use a computer for at home, this is perfect. For those of you with multi-screen setups, I'm sure this is a great $99 deal. I used an HDMI connection and after desktops (and work) I used VGA. Overall this is a good screen that serves its purpose, the only reason I gave it 4 runs if the base rack. This desktop was intended to be a floating wall table that I installed to make room for the computer. I bought a mini pc along with this monitor and a wireless keyboard and mouse to save space. Also, I wanted to hang the monitor on the wall to also save space and make sure the kids don't knock the monitor over. This is the cheapest monitor I could get for this size. After ordering, I saw that people were complaining about the monitor's "tail" (stand) and that it was not removable. So I think I can remove it even if a few screws have to be unscrewed, but after seeing a video of the removal on YouTube I figured it's better not to. After commenting on a YouTube video, someone mentioned that they would just cut and truncate it. After looking at this thing for about a week I'm going to do exactly that and clip it. If you use the base it's fine, if you don't bother with the "tail" it's fine, but if you like the clean look and hang it up I'd look for something else or just clip it off . Now I was thinking if I decide to postpone it, right? Basically I figured if I ever need to move it and mount it on a base I'll buy a cheap desk mount and use the vesa bolt holes I use now to mount it on the wall. I really wanted to buy another monitor but really couldn't find one I liked for less or the same money. My OCD doesn't care much about looking at her. But it will probably overwhelm me and I'll cut it off to make it look cleaner. Long story for a simple problem, but it was fun to tell. In short, this is a really good monitor at a great price :)
