There are conflicting comments as to whether this 4" vise works on an 8" drill press WHO (4208). I have NO PROBLEMS with it. I prefer this 4 inch over 3 inch. I originally bought the 3" because WEN listed it as compatible with an 8" press, but didn't list the 4" vise as compatible with it. I didn't really like the 3-inch. It just didn't feel right "Fitted" although the holes matched the drill table so I returned it and ordered a 4". 4" just seems like a better size. And being able to fit a 2x4 or 4x4 in a 4" vise was valuable. I could mount a 4" on a board suitable for a table, but I'm currently seeing no need. I attached the vise to the table with a single "quick release bike seat clamp". Yes, you read it right. It's very secure and I just turn the clamp knob to move the vise and then fold it back up.
