Failing KVM switches
The power light, source light #2 and select button were not working on my device. Keyboard shortcuts worked to switch sources. When switching to my Windows 7 PC, it always took about 30 seconds to reconnect the mouse and keyboard. Switching to my Mac was faster, but I usually had to switch to an unconnected source for a few seconds and then back to my Mac to successfully reconnect the USB devices. It also often stopped responding to keyboard commands, and I had to turn it off and on like others. I replaced this KVM switch with a Tripp-Lite B004-DPUA4-K with similar features and all these problems are gone.
