This straightener is amazing. It's the best I've ever had. I have very fine, bleached hair and like to alternate between straightening and curling. I've tried so many different straighteners and can't find one that doesn't snag on my hair. Even my stylist's expensive Dyson straightener gets caught in my hair. After reading reviews of literally 100 different irons I saw this $15 Revain Basics and thought I'd give it a try as it had good reviews. I knew I could easily return it if I didn't like it. It arrived in less than 24 hours and I used it straight away and fell in love. It glides through my hair so easily and creates amazing curls even on my asymmetrical chin-length bob. It has three different presets for fine, medium and coarse hair. I used the thin preset ie 280° and it was perfect. It also doesn't heat up much when touched near the plates. I can't say enough good things about this iron and I'm so glad I took the chance!
