I didn't expect to like it so much but I really like it for such a price! It's just not 5 stars because I hate the noise it makes because I get up early for work and it's just unnecessary noise.

About a week ago I bought a silk straightener and wanted to touch it up as it looked more blow dried than straight. So I used the highest setting for coarse hair and it didn't work. I made small strands and went through about 6 times just to smooth out the top but not the bottom. I think it's because it's not hot enough. Our 12-year-old daughter doesn't like her wavy hair and often straightens it out in front of school and church. Her hair is medium length, maybe three inches below her shoulders. This tool is easy to use and well worth the money.
