Review on Dorman 265-813 Automatic Transmission Oil Pan - Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Compatible Models by Will Ridpath

Like many reviews, this doesn't look like it will fit my truck, but it does. I also removed the drain plug and thoroughly cleaned the threads on the pan and the plug. The aluminum washer did the job when tightened to about 20 ft-lbs. No leaks. I reused the original gasket. Dirty but not harsh. I recommend blowing out the top of the screw mount and spraying some lube there before removing the screws if you live in a rust belt like me. The pan was never removed (yes, 16 years old) so some of the bolts that go through the bodywork were a little tricky and brought some aluminum into the threads. But everything went well. And since it has a drain plug, I'll probably never drop a pan again.
