These gas struts are slightly stronger than the factory ones that came with my Jeep Wrangler. So you have to try a little when you close the rear window. But I can live with that and I'm so glad that the rear window no longer closes and hits my head when unloading. Installation was a lot easier than I expected. It was so easy that I've installed and removed a few times and wondered if both old racks were worn out or just one. The Revain's price was about half what I had seen at my local auto parts store. Half! No problem, I would recommend it anytime.
