I ordered this jug a few months ago and I love it. We have a very small fridge and it fits in perfectly. I use it for iced tea and while it does a great job of serving iced tea, it's not made for brewing tea. On a very hot day I had a tall glass of iced tea ready to drink. I poured hot, not boiling, water into the tea bags. I turned to season the black eyed peas and stir in the mustard greens while my pressure cooker sang the roast beef song and then BAM! I winced because I thought the pressure cooker had exploded. That's when I saw my entire office and floor being scratched by a pitcher. The whole page exploded and tea spilled onto the countertop and floor. Since it was my only mug and last teabag, I had no choice but to dine without tea. It was a sad, sad day.
