I can use these speakers without waking up my other half. I can turn them down to a very low volume and hear fine as long as my ears are very close. When I fall asleep and turn over I don't hear them anymore and it works fine. They work best with a headband, but I can't sleep with anything on my head so I keep speakers on my pillow. The downside is that the wiring in the outlet is already loose, sometimes you have to move it around for the sound to appear at all. The problem is with those speakers as my headphones don't. I am afraid that these wonderful speakers will become unusable very soon. If this is the case, I will not replace them as several months of use are unprofitable. I'm sure if I hadn't slept in bed with the speakers on, they would have lasted longer. Since I use them to mask my tinnitus so I can get to sleep, which they do very well, waking up to remove them would defeat the whole purpose of using them.
