Review on Revant Polarized Replacement Titanium MirrorShield by Napoleon Robbie

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Significantly thinner than Oakley, unsafe fit and wrong color.

Updated rating (April 2018): Downgrading of this replacement lens to 1 star. Fitting issues keep getting worse to the point where I can't clean the lenses without having a small screwdriver with me to remount and tighten the lenses every time. They just don't fit right. First review: I have had Oakley Whisker sunglasses with titanium frames and titanium colored polarized lenses since 2009. I've changed several pairs over the years. My last pair of lenses accumulated small scratches that distracted me while driving. I was sad at the thought of having to find a new style as Whisker appears to be discontinued. Then I found these replacement lenses. Titanium color and polarization! Sweet. Today I took her from Pasha (my Revain locker) and willingly put her to work. The first thing that strikes me is that they are SIGNIFICANTLY thinner (and lighter) than standard Oakley lenses. I'm in the process of installing them and I find they don't quite fit. I had small gaps even after tightening the screws. I loosened and tightened several times. The gaps are gone, but there is still a little movement when cleaning. Finally, the color of the Titanium is not the same as the Oakley Titanium. It's much grayer than Oakley's warm color. (see photo) I'll be honest and update this after a few months of use if they last that long. Although I'm not optimistic. :-/ On the right of my photos are Revant lenses.
