I would love to keep this monitor but had to return it because a friend and I found out that it cannot play 4K HDR movies from a streaming service like Netflix. We assume that HDCP 2.2 may not be supported. It's not mentioned on the Philips website or in the manual and we haven't had a response from Philips yet. Pros: Excellent color space and contrast. Very good HDR performance. The viewing angle of this MVA panel monitor is very good compared to other VA monitors. Everything looks fine and displayed when playing a 4k HDR video. For these points of view, the best monitor I've seen on the market. Cons: It has a subpixel rendering issue, but it goes away if you sit a little further away, no big deal. Philips does not support some software such as split screen and only supports PBP with 2 input sources. BUT THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THAT IT CANNOT PLAY A 4K HDR MOVIE. My friend and I used the same device (Chromecast) on another LG monitor and it can play 4k HDR movies! That means we can only stream HD movies or HD TV shows on this monitor! We suspect this is due to the lack of HDCP 2.2 support required to play 4k movies. It was a deal breaker for me because with such a huge monitor, almost the size of a TV, I want to be able to watch 4k movies alongside normal gaming. In summary, this monitor is great for PC or console gaming. But I can't watch 4K HDR movies on this monitor. We gave up after a day of debugging and researching. I would love to buy this monitor if Philips upgrades this monitor to make it suitable for watching 4k movies but now I have to return it.
