The E4200 v2 was a great purchase. I was looking for a dual band wireless N router (currently running WRT160N which works fine) to boost 2.4GHz signal strength and add 5GHz video and game streaming capabilities (Netflix, PS3 and XBox); In both cases, the E4200 offered exactly what I was looking for. The 2.4GHz signal increased both strength (from 3 lanes to 5 lanes) and distance by 50%, while the addition of 5GHz improved video streaming and gaming quality. The only criticism I have of the router is that the 5 GHz signal range is not as wide as I would like. If the device is more than 2 rooms away from the router, your signal will not be strong. According to people who know a lot more about wireless products than I ever do, that's quite the standard for 5GHz transmission. Additionally, several Amazon reviewers have expressed the same concerns in their reviews. All in all, the router was a great purchase and met my expectations. By the way, my next purchase will be an Amped SR20000G Dual Band Range Extender to solve the 5GHz signal strength problem.
