Initially I was hesitant to purchase this product due to the low number of reviews but I was intrigued by the ease of use and wanted to try it and I'm so glad I did, it works great. My laptop stopped working. I was able to diagnose this as a motherboard issue that couldn't be fixed as I couldn't find another to replace it as it's 6 years old and missing parts due to the pandemic so I had to get my data off an old laptop and this was the cheapest and easiest way to do it. It was as simple as taking out the SSD card and putting it in an external enclosure, inserting a small rubber screw, closing it, plugging it into another computer and dragging the files onto the computer. I now have a large portable external drive to retrieve data or back up my other computer. Good product.
