Review on Cleto Reyes Hybrid Boxing Special by Matthew Maggot

This is my second pair of Cleto Reyes. My first pair of 14 ounce extra padded gloves actually weighed about 18 ounces per glove (I think they weigh the gloves before adding the Velcro?). Anyway, I LOVE this pair (after quite a long break) but my shoulder was starting to bother me and I wanted something lighter. Enter these hybrid gloves. My average gloves weighed just under 16 ounces. Only two ounces but it definitely shows. What I particularly like about these gloves is that they didn't have a long break-in period like my last pair. Instead, these gloves became almost comfortable as soon as I put them on. They still have that Cleto Reyes "pop" and you can definitely feel the beats, but I love it. I do fitness kickboxing three times a week and have more pairs of gloves than I need. My Cleto Reyes gloves are the most expensive gloves I own, but I would have no hesitation in recommending them. The quality is excellent. These are my favorite gloves. Once you break a pair of Cleto Reyes, there's no coming back!
