Broke after only 3 months of use. Note that if it detects that it needs a "cleaning cycle", it won't brew coffee until you do so. It actually stops brewing in the middle of a pot when it detects it needs cleaning. We set up our machine for brewing in the morning and when we wake up there's coffee waiting for us. We woke up with a half brewed kettle, we had to throw that coffee away and start a cleaning cycle. How painful! A week later we set it to broth and woke up to find it wasn't working at all and the 'clean' light was back on. But I didn't clean it, I didn't do anything. Doesn't make coffee. It just flashes a clean cycle and doesn't do anything else. From the information I've read on other sites that means it's probably clogged with lime and the warranty says that if it's lime they won't honor the warranty as they believe the lime on the cleaning cycle is not running. Well, we ran a cleaning cycle about once a month. It stopped working a week after starting the cleaning cycle. It's just a useless car. We've always had Cuisinart brewers and they didn't clog, worked flawlessly for many years before typically failing when turned on. Don't buy Krups!
