Of all the masks I've bought this is the only one that fits me. I have a big face/head. If you work in the healthcare industry, you could be associated with this. I can wear a yellow mask but not a blue one. The blue is too tight around my ears. Homemade masks are not long enough at the top and bottom to stay on my ears. So you can imagine how many braces I've tried. This should be my 6th. I had one advertised as XL which was smaller than the other. It says it's 4.1 inches, not the standard 3.5. I didn't measure it, but it felt the same. The problem with other braces is that you put them on and you can't open your mouth to speak without moving the braces. This wraps well around the bridge of my nose and allows me to open and move my mouth to speak without flinching all over the place. The extra respite was wonderful. And it didn't fog up my glasses. My only complaint is that the silicone gets hot and wet, but it's still better than sucking the mask in your mouth or applying a wet mask to your face. I've only worn this mask for 5 hours but so far I'm happy with it. How it holds up from the outside remains to be seen. for your information. It is no problem for me. Silicone is much more comfortable than hard plastic.
