Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Redragon K596 Vishnu Gaming Keyboard: Wireless/Wired, RGB, 87 Keys, 10 Macro Keys, Wrist Rest, Red Switches by Marcus Hussain

Let's get the simple facts about this keyboard

Fact 1: G1-G5 macro keys do not work wirelessly. They only work when connected to a computer. An interesting situation considering that the G6 - G10 worked wirelessly. I can't understand the logic Redragon used to limit G1-G5 to only work in wired mode. Stupid is a good word to describe Redragon's decision to restrict keyboard macros. Why Redragon? Why? Why? Fact 2. Additional functions F2, F3 and F6-F8 are redundant. These keys have dedicated keys โ€” Previous, Play/Pause, Next โ€” and a volume slider elsewhere on the keyboard. You cannot reprogram them for other functions. Meh.Fact 3: G1-G5 and G6-G10 have different colors when programming. G1-G5 will be green and G6-G10 will be red when programmed. Meh.Fact 4: Keycaps are decent for the price. I recommend replacing them with something else because they are a bit ugly. Fact 5: The software for this keyboard is easy to find on the Redragon website. Parking light can be switched off. A big plus for those of you who use this wireless keyboard. Fact 6: The included palm rest makes it possible. It's not the biggest, but it's a wrist rest. The magnets are strong. Good. Fact 7: The volume slider is fast. I don't see any latency when using it wired or wireless. Good job Redragon. Fact 8: Yes, it uses USB-C, but the plastic casing around the connector is thinner than most cables. I have numerous Anker and Samsung USB-C cables and none of them fit the keyboard connector. You might want to look for thin cables. Overall, this keyboard is great for its price. I want the G1-G5 buttons to work in wireless mode as they don't seem to work in wireless mode, it's a waste of space. I suggest you change the keycaps because they look prettier with white keycaps. If you really want to improve this keyboard then spend money on a case change. At this point, you're just better off spending your money on a different keyboard. i will keep it
