I had no idea this product existed! I found it while looking for door stops that would allow air to circulate and keep the large dog I care for away from my birds. A bird has special needs and likes to walk on the floor of its cage (within reach of the dog). He has only one leg and sometimes he is not afraid. He also sleeps on the floor, pressed against the bars of his cage, with a paper cup on his head so he doesn't see anyone/anything approaching. I'm not joking. Mammals' saliva can be toxic to birds and I didn't want to risk the dog scratching or biting the cage. STEEL and fastened with SCREWS. It is very durable. The product was easy to install. I couldn't find a full size screwdriver, but the one on my Leatherman worked fine. No drill required! The only problem I noticed is that the vinyl sticker is already peeling off. (Maybe because I put it in place of the hasp and cut the sticker into pieces instead of wrapping it all the way around the door.) The edge of the sticker near the latch is peeling off, taking the paint with it. A little annoying. If I get another sticker I just try to cut a hole in the middle. All in all I trust this life with my birds, it is a very durable and excellent invention.
