I replaced the rear brake pads on a 2016 Civic. Since the car is fairly new, I figured I wouldn't have a problem getting those pesky screws out of the rotors. The factory uses these bolts to hold the rotor in place on the assembly line. I tapped the screws with an impact wrench and they didn't move. I even used the correct bit. The screws are not crossed. These are JIS screws. The crosshead does not fit. This tool immediately loosened the screws. This literally saved me about an hour of work based on my previous experience with these rotor supports.
