Great tool with a Great price point

In buying this Polisher/Sander I wanted a battery operated tool with lots of torque and lower speeds without stalling out also I needed it to be able to use a 1-1/4" and a 2" and 3" disks but all of those are 5/8" arbor and this tool has a 10mm x1.5mm pitch so they come with a drill adapter that I put in the lathe so I can make a adapter out of it and it worked out prefect. I needed this so you can sand plastic without generating to much heat so the plastic doesn't melt or any paint being…

Pros
  • Variable Speeds for Versatile Application
Cons
  • May cause arm fatigue during extended use

Solid tool for the DIY I am

The tool comes with 1 pre-charged battery and a charger, plus some accessories so I was able to use as soon as I received it.The accessories are standard size, so it is easy and inexpensive to get replacements.I used the low speed for applying the compound, at that low speed, I did not apply any pressure as the tool uses little power. Then to polish and remove the dry compound I changed the pad and used the max speed. There is enough power at that speed for me to apply some pressure, but not…

Pros
  • ‎1 Lithium Ion batteries required. (included)
Cons
  • May require constant adjustment to maintain a consistent pressure

get what you pay for.

it is easy to use, but a trigger device of some sort would improve the usefulness. i use it to polish out guitar finishes. For that ,it works well. The pads that come with it are marginal, and there was no pad cleaner tool in box as advertised, plus it lists a cleaner tool on contents list, but its not there. No its not a top of the line tool, but it should come as advertisef

Pros
  • Good product. One thing I would like improved would be the battery life.
Cons
  • The first 3 settings on this thing is pr

Like the tool - my new review

I was wondering why the battery was not charging and saw a review that included a picture of the charger missing one of the pins. I have several Kimo tools and they work great. I bought this tool last winter intending to use it this summer. Well, not so much. However, I would like to get this replaced and do not see any method to contact the manufacturer. Here is a picture of the inside. Called Revain, they gave me a contact address for Kimo. Kimo has agreed to send a replacement charger. It…

Pros
  • Comprehensive Kits - Get Started
Cons
  • Not as effective as professional detailing services

Cordless Functionality

I am impressed with this small unit and the power seems to be very reasonable for this product/price. It will work perfectly when it comes to tight small spaces on a car that the big throws are to big for. I am looking forward to using it as I have not yet. I like the bag that it comes with as well as the pads.It only comes with one battery so it would have be nice to have had a spare as well so that you have one you can use while waiting for the other to charge.

Pros
  • Battery doesn't last long. Need to run on high to to maintain needed RPM's.
Cons
  • The product need more speed and power

It’s poopy: my feedback

When I received this buffer I put it to use, this thing heats up so quickly and shuts off, so yourself a favor buy an electric unit, this company also bribes you to give them a great review by saying they will send you a cordless drill for the review, hey why not right ? I then emailed this company 20 times and got no response, all of a sudden 3 months later I get an email from them, I’ve been going back and fourth with them about this crappy buffer, they want some order number, I have proof of

Pros
  • ‎1.7 pounds
Cons
  • May not work well on curved or contoured surfaces

Battery holds no charge. Customer service top notch.

Maybe I got a bad one, but I charged the battery one night and went to use it the next day and the battery was dead. Ok. Maybe I did something wrong. Let’s charge it again. Charged it again, put it back in its case after charging, went to use it a few days later. Dead. Ridiculous.Update*** still frustrated about the battery issue. It took a while, but their customer service did reach out to me with an apology and multiple solutions to try to help with the problem. For that reason alone, I think

Pros
  • The five variable speeds allow you to control the intensity of the buffing for different surfaces and types of polishes
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use on certain types of paint

Solid little buffer

Solidly built tool, feels like it can take a bit of abuse, which is important in my tools. I'm hard on equipment. This is my 3rd KIMO tool, I have a powered ratchet and drill as well, and they all use the same battery pack. I really appreciate this, as each tool in my collection provides an additional common battery. It includes a number of accessories for different buffing requirements, and all attach easily with an industry standard heavy Velcro attachment point. You can buy off the shelf…

Pros
  • Car buffer
Cons
  • Limited battery life, requiring frequent charging

Great buy and very convenient tool

I had purchased a pistol grip style mini polisher to do some small parts on my car. Once I was looking up foam 4 inch pads the kimo 4 inch angle grinder popped up moment i noticed it and I decided to order that one instead of the one I just bought due to the fact that it looks like it would be a lot easier to use ergonomically as well as being convenient to get into smaller spaces. I am completely satisfied in returning the pistol grip style and purchasing the typical 90° angle polisher style…

Pros
  • The multiple pads included in the kit allow you to tackle various detailing projects with ease
Cons
  • May be difficult to clean and maintain

Handy cordless buffer!

This cordless buffer has been a nice tool for my husband to use on his truck. You dont need to worry about air hoses or electrical cords getting in your way. The included battery lasts quiet a bit of time with normal use. The head is the perfect size as he is able to fit it into smaller areas for detail work. He says for a smaller buffer it has a good amount of torque. It has been working well to take out scratches and leaves a silky smooth finish. If all that isnt enough it comes in a nice…

Pros
  • ‎13 x 6 x 7 inches
Cons
  • Risk of damaging the paint job if not used properly

Good for what it is

I purchased this as I wanted a small, cordless polisher to use on vehicle scratches. I first tried to repair the scratches by hand using the Carfidant product and the orange pad it came with. I wasn't satisfied so I bought this Kimo device and used with a Chemical Guys orange pad (4 inch fits the Kimo). It did a better job than what I was able to achieve by hand, using the same Carfidant scratch remover. I used it for about 5 minutes total but then let it run on my work bench at the middle…

Pros
  • ‎12 Volts
Cons
  • May not be ideal for larger vehicles due to its small size

Wool vs foam? in my review

Auto polishing. Would like foam buffers rather than wool. Machine is well built and easy to use. Are foam buffers available for this unit?

Pros
  • Body Repair Tools
Cons
  • May cause unnecessary wear and tear on the vehicle's paint job

Dies quickly best in my review

Just used it for the first time to restore headlights. Lasted maybe 20 mins. And died. Wouldn’t recommend Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • The durable construction of the polisher ensures it will last you for years to come
Cons
  • May not be ideal for removing stubborn stains or dirt

Needs a trigger for my opinion

This device needs a trigger. The only way to control on/off or speed is with buttons. To stop it you have to hold the power button down for 3 seconds! You have to do this with your other hand because one hand is holding the activated tool.

Pros
  • ‎K I M O.
Cons
  • May require significant practice to use properly

Needs some tweaking/

This actually a great little buffer. But I would recommend that it has a positive OFF switch. When working with a high speed tool, one needs a way to instantly turn the power off or stop the tool from rotating as a safety feature. This takes two fingers, to completely shut down.

Pros
  • ‎5001
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all types of wax
