Review on Effortlessly Detail Your Car With The KIMO Cordless Buffer Polisher Kit - 5 Variable Speeds, Fast Charging, & Multiple Pads For Waxing, Scratch Removal, & Home Appliance Polishing by Vladimir Castillo

Good for what it is

I purchased this as I wanted a small, cordless polisher to use on vehicle scratches. I first tried to repair the scratches by hand using the Carfidant product and the orange pad it came with. I wasn't satisfied so I bought this Kimo device and used with a Chemical Guys orange pad (4 inch fits the Kimo). It did a better job than what I was able to achieve by hand, using the same Carfidant scratch remover. I used it for about 5 minutes total but then let it run on my work bench at the middle power setting to see how long the battery would last. It ran out at just under 25 minutes. The Kimo does take some getting used to. The biggest drawback about it are the controls. I wish it had a dial with an on/off click. I found myself accidently pressing the speed buttons while I was using the device, and that was annoying. You also have to hold down the power button for 3 seconds to get it to turn off, if you're not careful, you'll fling product everywhere. You cannot put any pressure on it unless you are at the middle or higher power levels or it will bog down.Overall it is a decent device. You're not going to be able to polish an entire car in one setting due to the battery, but if you've got some spots you want to touch up, it will do the job. My scratches aren't completely gone because they are too deep but they look much better. I recommend getting different pads though if you're working on your vehicle.
