I was looking for a replacement for the Bissel stick vacuum cleaner. Unable to find a Bissel replacement, I opted for a handheld vacuum with a handheld vacuum on top. It was very bulky so I kept looking for something that had a handheld vacuum next to the base. I stumbled across this Black and Decker vacuum cleaner and was very pleased with its performance. I mainly use it in the kitchen and bathroom and it picks up a lot of dust and dirt. I like the light on the base. If I use it in low light or no light at all, the light lets me see what's being vacuumed and brings up dirt I might not see with the light on. Vacuum has two modes: Turbo and Normal. The downside is that the vacuum cleaner starts in turbo mode when you turn it on, and leaving it in that mode will quickly drain the battery. Luckily, the normal mode button is just below the power button. Another plus for me, the vacuum stays upright and stands on its own when not in use. I am satisfied with the B&D vacuum cleaner.
