Review on JVC IEM Class-S Solidege: Premium Stainless Steel Body, Titanium Drivers, Customizable Sound Stage | HAFD01 by Charles Ahmar

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best dynamic driver headphones on the market.

With a simple 5 minute reverse mod, with a simple alcohol wipe (available in any first aid kit), these headphones transform into some of the best dynamic driver headphones on the market. Check out this simple mod on a popular audio hardware website which I won't link to as I'm not sure if Revain allows 3rd party links (just google "JVC FD01 Alcohol Pad Mod"). These headphones have a balanced, neutral sound. with incredibly detailed highs, clean mids and a tight, well-controlled bass that always stays on track (but is capable of becoming a sub-bass monster with an EQ, if you will). Metal construction of incredible quality. I wouldn't be surprised if they survived a fall from a skyscraper. The rotating ear cups mean you can also wear them over the ear or on a cord. Very unique and versatile design; I don't know of any other IEMs that do this! After attending a recent audio equipment meeting, I was surprised to find that these little gems compare to $2,500 full-size headphones. These are my favorite IEMs at the moment. I haven't heard a single genre of music in which they didn't excel. With a simple reversible mod, they're sure to become one of your favorite IEMs.
