Good toaster but a bit slow

It does the job and is a huge improvement over the 2 slice model. However, it works slowly. Looking inside, half of the heating elements glow very dimly while the other half remain dark. It is noticeably slower than my existing toaster (different brand). Still, it's a nice, functional device that will hopefully last a very long time.
