After connecting the monitor to my 15" Mac Book Pro with a USB-C cable, everything looked great at 4k until after a few minutes the screen started flickering and eventually went completely black. While I was using the cable fiddling around it went on and off multiple times. Sometimes it stayed on for minutes, sometimes just a second. Switching to a lower resolution or 30Hz or using a display port cable seems to have fixed the problem. but I wouldn't bother I could buy a much cheaper monitor if I wanted to. I also noticed that when I was looking at something against a dark background, some "snow" was moving. I began to suspect that the cable was defective. It's labeled "Full USB 3.1 Gen 1". I'm pretty sure it's not fast enough to handle 4k at 60Hz. So I bought an Apple Thunderbolt 3 cable and now everything works great. Overall, this is a pretty good Mo nitor, but if you plan to use USB-C at 4k, plan for a better cable as well.
