What I like most about these socks is the soft heel. This gives extra padding for the gym but also prevents the sock from being pushed into the shoe as the pad catches on the top of the shoe (much like a tongue). I skim the typical store-bought socks fairly quickly (a hole in my thumb after a pair of socks), but these hold up and show no obvious wear. They fit well and don't put pressure on the toes. Would recommend if you're willing to shell out the extra money for socks as the extra cost seems to pay off in that they last longer than other cheaper socks I've bought.
