UPDATE 02/28/21: For the second round of ink tanks only! Black has about 50% left and CMY has about 25%. The computer still works as well as when you bought it. Best printer purchase of my life :-) UPDATE 4/9/20: Still(!) on original ink tanks! Damn true! I love this printer! UPDATE 6/4/19: Original review below for purchase on 11/1/18. It's been 7 months and the ink level hasn't changed much. I've attached a photo taken 5 minutes ago showing empty ink just below the second mark and all the rest just below the first mark. It's unbelievable that a print shop could develop a printer that can actually be economical with ink instead of sucking it dry just to sell us refilled ink cartridges every 2 months. And we used at least 3-4 (maybe 5-6) ream 750 plain paper and printed probably a dozen full page glossy 8x11 color photos and a couple dozen glossy 4x6 photos. I would give 15 stars if I could. Otherwise the same positives and negatives as in the original review below. I highly recommend this printer! A quick review to say this thing uses ink as slowly as Epson advertises. I bought it a few months ago and the ink tanks (which you can see through the small windows and also check in the software settings) are still 98% full. The printer prints images on glossy paper just as well as my Canon printer. No problems connecting to Wi-Fi with any of the home computers, unlike Canon which lost connection on a daily basis. For example, if there's a way to scan in black and white instead of color, I don't know how to set that up. So it is the color that makes the files (PDF or JPG) bigger. I also tried scanning a photo and it turned out horrible and I couldn't find any settings to tweak things like scan levels/colors. But phones have such good cameras and scanning apps that now it's easy to scan pictures this way. The expected super-duper low price for replacement ink offsets scanning issues (for me) to keep this printer 5 stars. Finally a company that doesn't rape you for the cost of ink. That alone keeps me from buying Epson.
