I like the 2TB version of this 16-channel analog camera DVR the best. Installation was easy, the direct UI is intuitive and well-made, the mobile app is easy to connect and works well. The only point where things didn't work well was the web interface, which required installing an app. The application required administrator access (not just installation) to the local system on launch, which is very bad in a business environment. The physical installation went smoothly with no issues. This DVR replaces an OLD PC-based device and is physically much smaller and quieter. Connections to analogue cameras, power, monitor and mouse were flawless. The old system's USB keyboard and mouse connected immediately and were recognized immediately. No problem. The physical installation came pretty close to a simple swap. The initial setup was easy to do and all 10 cameras produced their images. You may want to take a photo of the serial number and model number labels on the bottom. You need to register the DVR with the cloud service and not doing so was my only mistake setting up a cloud account (to allow remote access). The direct user interface is very responsive. I installed the mobile app on my iPhone6 and used it to create my cloud account and connect the app to the DVR. It was a simple process that only took a few minutes. I can easily access both live video and recorded video from the app. The app works very well. I was trying to set up an internet connection for a person who wants to watch videos from their desktop PC. It wasn't that pleasant. The DVR wants to install an application that requires administrator access to install. This is not surprising, but required admin access to run. In this environment, that's not good, since most users (and for good reason) don't have accounts with regular user rights. I couldn't find any other way than to make them part of the local administrators group on their PC. Not a very good solution and the only dark spot in this setup. With the exception of one web interface error, the 101AV 16ch DVR exceeded my expectations. It has been working for several months now and after installation there were no problems with the DVR. If it wasn't for the privileged web application issue, I think it would have been a solid 5 stars. With the web issue I only have 4. Otherwise this dash cam exceeded my expectations.
