Safety theater (but better than nothing) Fits the 2021 Gladiator JT.
As others have said this thing probably wouldn't be that hard to open if one chose; the lip holding the lock is plastic). But most castles are like that. If someone really wants your stuff, they probably can. Luckily, I just wanted something that might throw a casual viewer with sticky fingers, but not too much time or effort. It looks like they are doing their job.
